Does the GPSR apply to my business?▼

If you sell any non-food product to consumers in the EU, yes. Whether you manufacture, import or distribute. Whether you sell online or in a physical store. Regulation (EU) 2023/988 applies to all non-food consumer products on the European market.

Do I need a file for each product?▼

Yes. The GPSR requires technical documentation for each product. Products with minor variants (same design, different colours) can share a file if the risks are identical.

How long must I keep the documentation?▼

10 years from when the product was placed on the market (Art. 9.4 and Art. 11.2 of Regulation (EU) 2023/988).

Does it work for Amazon?▼

Yes. Amazon is actively requiring GPSR documentation for listings on its European marketplaces. The file generated by GPSRCheck meets the requirements demanded by Amazon, eBay and Etsy.

What if my product already has CE marking?▼

The GPSR complements sector-specific legislation. If your product already has CE, the GPSR applies only to risks not covered by that directive. GPSRCheck lets you indicate you already have CE and include your test report data in the file.
